Metal Gear Solid 4 - another LOST PS3 exclusive, coming to Xbox 360!
Straight from a dev source on the game, MGS4: Guns of the Patriots will be hitting 360 a few months after the PS3 version, simply because Konami doesn\'t believe there\'ll be enough consoles out there. Blu Ray diode failure appears to be the issue that publishers believe hinders market penetration.
New MGS \'possible\' on Xbox 360
comments
Famous game design person Hideo Kojima has revealed that Metal Gear Solid 4 would be possible on the Xbox 360, with little or no difference from the PS3 version currently in development. The designer explains that his development team eventually opted for the PS3 because Kojima likes to be among the first to innovate on a new platform, an option unavailable on the Xbox 360 because of the system\'s release schedule, Kojima adds. In fact, MGS 4 would work perfectly on Microsoft\'s console, but there was simply not enough time for developers to become accustomed to the new system, whilst still finishing Metal Gear Solid 3.
\"Kojima Productions has this philosophy that we want to be the first in everything regarding new technology. So after we finished MGS3, the option was to work on the PS3 to try all the new things for Metal Gear Solid 4. The only reason for this is I\'m the kind of person who wants to be the first person on the moon, and don\'t want to be asking \'what the moon was like?\' from other people,\" the designer told games site 1UP.com recently.
Kojima went on to explaining that technically it would be possible, more over that the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 are all virtually identical - quite a bold claim given the fierce competition between the console manufacturers.

Call of Duty 3 patched up
Activision\'s WWII shooter gets fixes to multiplayer via auto-update on Xbox Live; some gameplay enhancements also added.
\"Medic!\"
That was the cry of gamers after being sidelined by some issues found in the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty 3. COD3\'s developer, Treyarch, has heard the call and has made available a patch for the World War II first-person shooter.
The auto-update is now available over Xbox Live and addresses problems relating to both ranked and player matches in Call of Duty 3\'s online component. The development team says that the greatest improvement in gameplay comes with searching for and joining multiplayer sessions. Ranked games allegedly come together much faster, and searches for player matches return many more results than before.
Other additions include basic improvements to gameplay, options, and the heads-up display. Among them are consistent brightness settings between single- and multiplayer, the ability to choose between playing as the Axis or Allies in ranked games, and consistent amounts of players per team in rotating-map games. More details on the patch are available on the game\'s forums at Xbox.com.
