The Sonic The Hedgehog Topic

I think Sonic deserves his own topic.. There\'s been alot of Sonic news released in the past couple of days with the announcement of

-Sonic Rush (Ds)
-Sonic Gems Collection
- The Xbox360 Sonic Tech Demo

and earlier this year Shadow the Hedgehog was announced.

So, this is a thread for basically anything Sonic. I for one think he\'s the best gaming character ever, probably because I grew up with him as my idol..

Discuss!!!

Ok then

- Sonic Rush (DS)

Well, alright. Here\'s a game that pretty much... looks like any other sonic game. It has yet another new character (personally I don\'t think we need THAT many characters >_> and Cream the Rabbit is pretty much useless in any game she is in). This time the new character is a Cat :O sweet, now we just need a dog... NO WAIT I DIDN\'T SAY THAT! God please let there not be another Sonic Character for a while.

- Sonic Gems Collection

Hm... sounds like another oldies collection, which I despise...

- The XBox 360 Sonic Tech Demo

OMFG!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DIE YOU @#%$ERS! HAD TO TAKE SONIC EH? I\'LL F#^& YOU PEOPLE UP, Oh wait... Tech Demo... Doesn\'t really mean game. Anyway, please let there not be a Sonic game on the 360, then that would force me to buy one... which I really don\'t want to waste my money on.

But Sonic Gems has Sonic CD.. Sonic CD!!!! It\'s easily the best Sonic game.. and in my opinon the best game ever.

As for Shadow, I personally hated the idea when I first heard about it.. But after seeing tons of video i\'m actually kind of excited about it. Sonic is in it.. He\'s actually gets his ass kicked in it.

For Sonic DC, the Sonic sprite looks horrible. I\'d prefer

the cat is bigs the cat and he has been in sonic for years he was in sonic adventure 1 and 2 and in all the sonic comics.

I stopped playing Sonic games after Sonic 3D for SMD2. The game lost it\'s \"soul\"... Sonic 2 was my favourite game on SMD2.

I\'ve only have Sonic Adventure 2:Battle for Game Cube and the game rulzz!!That\'s the only Sonic game i\'ve played and now i adore Sonic & Co.
Can\'t wait for Shadow The Hedgehog,coz he looked soo cool in SA2:B

Sonic Heroes is an ok game. It\'s really short though.

That Sonic love was gone for me at the time I played 3 on the Mega Drive. Sonic & Knuckles was way better (the first world is still awesome), but the game as whole wasn’t as good as part two, despite the graphics and that crazy cart technology. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is still my favourite.

I never got around finishing Sonic CD for some reason. The game just doesn’t grab me, I guess. I hear a lot of people call this one the best Sonic.

Adventure really impressed me the first time I played it (it was also the first Dreamcast game I played.) After the DX version for the PC and Adventure 2: Battle on the GameCube, I lost nearly all respect for Naka and Sega in general. Those games are not bad, per se, but they have conceptual gameplay problems that I can’t overlook.

Sonic Heroes was just awful.

Now, about the E3 2K5 stuff. Sonic Rush (DS) is... almost exciting. The bottom screen seems to be pretty useless; the game looks nice and is in 2.5D, which is good. That Sonic tech demo suggests that a Sonic game on the XBOX360 should be fast.

Shadow, well. Trailer looks cute and all, but it seems to me that none of the real issues have been looked into. I’m not really excited about it.

I thought Heroes was terrible.
I liked Sa1 and SA2 alot.. but Heroes just made me angry..I hated the team system, it completely slows down the pace of the game.

Damn game ruined 3/4 of the chaotix for me.. Knuckles was already ruined year ago.

OK, this is kinda off topic, but Shadow the Hedghog is awesome! Haven\'t played it, but like Shadic I\'ve seen videos and it looks cool.
